A. Create a Crowdfunding Campaign

  1. Both individuals and businesses can create a crowdfunding campaign.
  2. Before you can create a Crowdfunding Campaign on the 3CF website, you must ‘Sign Up’ (which is free). Individual campaign creators must provide a private e-mail address, a username (which can be anonymous) and create a secret password. Business campaign creators must provide their official business e-mail address, the official business name as a username and create a secret password.
  3. Once you have signed up, please click the link we send to your e-mail address to verify that your e-mail address is valid.

  4. Now by clicking ‘Crowdfunding’ then on ‘Creator’ you are able to ‘Request Campaign Funding’ via your dashboard by providing 3CF with the necessary information to process your campaign application.
  5. You will receive an e-mail acknowledgement that confirms that 3CF has received your ‘Request Campaign Funding’ application.
  6. 3CF will only list relevant campaign information on the website and will not publish confidential information. All information marked with an ‘*’ on the ‘Request Crowdfunding’ page will be published on the 3CF website.
  7. 3CF will send you an e-mail with the outcome of your campaign request within 3 working days.
  8. Once 3CF has successfully authorised your campaign request, it will be automatically published on the website.
  9. The campaign creator may request to extend the duration of the campaign to further attract donations; this must be done more than 3 days before the end of the campaign.
  10. After the campaign duration is over, the donators(s) have to pay for their respective pledges, within 5 working days of receiving the e-mail request to do so. 
  11. Thereafter, the funds will be released to the campaign creator with the 3CF service fee already deducted.
  12. If significant funds are not raised for the campaign, then the campaign will be cancelled and the donators’ funds will be returned to them. In this instance there are no charges.

B. Donate to a Crowdfunding Campaign

  1. Both individuals and businesses can donate to a crowdfunding campaign.
  2. Before you can fund a Crowdfunding Campaign on the 3CF website, you must ‘Sign Up’ (which is free). Individual campaign donators must provide a private e-mail address, a username (which can be anonymous)   and create a secret password. Business campaign donators must provide their official business e-mail address, the official business name as a username and create a secret password.
  3. Once you have signed up, please click the link we send to your e-mail address to verify that your e-mail address is valid.

  4. Now by clicking ‘Crowdfunding’ then on ‘Donor’ you are able to ‘Fund Campaign’ via your dashboard by providing 3CF with the necessary information.
  5. You will receive an e-mail acknowledgement that confirms 3CF has received your ‘Fund Campaign’ request.
  6. 3CF will send you an e-mail with the outcome of your request to fund a campaign within 1 working day.
  7. Once 3CF has authorised your ‘Fund Campaign’ request, you will be able to donate to campaigns on the website. Donating is free.
  8. 3CF only has to authorise your ‘Fund Campaign’ request once, provided there are no change in circumstances.
  9. After the campaign duration is over, the donor(s) have to make payment for their respective pledges, within 5 working days of receiving the e-mail request to do so. Details for this payment will be send by e-mail.
  10. Thereafter, the funds will be released to the campaign creator with the 3CF service fee already deducted. Finally, when the campaign ‘Goes-Live’, you should receive your ‘Perk’.
  11. If significant funds are not raised for the campaign, the campaign will be cancelled.

C. Perk Process

  1. In agreement and recognition of financial support for a specific Crowdfunding Campaign; donators can often choose from a wide range of 'Perks' which are rewards reflecting the magnitude of the contribution to the initiave.
  2. Donators can accept to take a 'Perk' by clicking the 'Perk' box'. Where perks are accepted, the Campaign Creator will be given the address details of the donator in order to fulfil the promise of the perk and therefore be able to post the reward .

D. Collective Signatories for Business Campaign Creators

  1. Where the primary business signatory nominates a secondary signatory (as in the Swiss Handelsregister), the 2nd signatory will receive an e-mail to their business e-mail account as designated by the 1st signatory for the purposes of verification and authentication. The 2nd signatory must click the verification link and assign themselves a secret password.
  2. The 2nd signatory will then be given the option to view and ‘Agree/Disagree campaign’ request. After inputting their personal details and uploading a signed and dated copy of their respective passport the user can agree to the campaign request. Failure of the 2nd signatory to agree to the campaign request will result in the campaign being cancelled. 
  3. If the 2nd signatory agrees to the campaign request, the campaign will be processed by 3CF. Upon approval of the campaign request, the campaign will be posted to the website. The 2nd signatory will have ‘read only’ access to the financial information, details and progress of the campaign on the dashboard.

E. Collective Signatories for Business Campaign Donators

  1. Where the primary business signatory nominates a secondary signatory (as in the Swiss Handelsregister), the 2nd signatory will receive an e-mail to their business e-mail account as designated by the 1st signatory for the purposes of verification and authentication.
